Leadership: “Leading by Listening”

Leadership, to me, isn’t about standing in front. It’s about walking alongside.

To me, leadership isn’t about holding a title — it’s about connecting, listening, and growing with others.
During my time in the Student Council, I learned that real leadership begins with listening.

Every school event is built from dozens of ideas, and my role is to bring them together into one shared vision.

Student Council: Leading by Listening

I’ve learned that a leader isn’t someone who always makes the decisions but someone who helps others shine.
From facilitating meetings and balancing student and faculty perspectives, to supporting members through challenges — I’ve grown into a kind of leadership grounded in listening.

Even without sponsorship, we made it happen — together.

Debate: Leadership through Dialogue

At Senguin Debate Club, I learned to lead by empowering others.

Beyond managing the team, I helped members strengthen their critical thinking, presentation skills, and confidence to speak their minds.

Here, leadership wasn’t just about being in charge. It was more about walking together.

True leadership isn’t about control. It’s about trust, and believing that every voice deserves to be heard.

In college, I hope to continue building spaces for collaboration and shared learning — places where students can grow, create, and make a genuine impact together.
I’d love to join or even start interdisciplinary student organizations where I can explore management while connecting people through shared purpose.
